Flex Builder 2.0
If you are new to Flex, you should download and install Flex Builder 2.0. Flex Builder 2.0 can be installed as a standard desktop application or as a plug-in to the Eclipse 3.1 IDE. The full Flex SDK 2.0 and debug versions of Flash Player 8.5 for Mac and Windows are included in beta 2 of Flex Builder 2.0.
The ColdFusion Extensions to Flex Builder 2.0 are a set of wizards that aid in ColdFusion development and enable RDS (Remote Development Services) for database and file manipulation. The wizards use standard coding practices to generate value object code in both CFML and in ActionScript for use within the Flex 2.0 framework.

Flex Data Services 2.0
Previously named Flex Enterprise Services, Flex Data Services 2.0 is available for Linux, Solaris, and Windows platforms. The Java installer provided is not platform specific and can be installed on any of the supported platforms. The installers also include the Flex framework command-line compilers (mxmlc, compc) and debugger (FDB). Additionally there is an option to install an integrated version of JRun 4 Developer Edition enabling you to get started with Flex Data Services if you do not already have a J2EE server available. The integrated version of JRun is not included with the Java Installer.

Flex SDK 2.0
The Flex framework will be made available free of charge in the Flex Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK includes the Flex command line compiler required to develop, compile, and deploy Flex applications that connect to XML and SOAP web services with no additional charges or server licensing required. Flex Builder 2.0 automatically installs a copy of the Flex SDK, so if you are using Flex Builder 2.0 you do not need to download the Flex SDK separately.
