What operations can make CHxReadingStringIME.dll be called by the system ?

It seems that CHxReadingStringIME.dll is a dll for reading chinese string but I never saw it called by the system.
What operations can make it called by the system ?
For example, click some botton ? Type some character in the notepad ? or by rebooting the machine ~~~?

What I want are:
1. Do something to make it called.
2. Some way to verify that it was called.
