xorboot本身不支持安全启动，有两个解决办法:一是关闭安全启动，另一种方法是用shim来加载xorboot，请参考http://bbs.wuyou.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=413596

测试了一下，新版在 VMWare 12 的显示正常，旧版在 10.0.4 显示正常
回头我看看是什么原因

0.2.5启动linux内核，都提示找不到initrd文件，文件名没搞错.

截图看看，新版跟以前的菜单系统类型不兼容，需要重新设置。

是重新设置的菜单。0.2.4版本是可以这样启动的，0.2.5就一直提示找不到initrd文件


用grub2试过这样是可以启动的

确定这同一个磁盘，相同的配置，在0.24能启动，0.25上却不能启动吗？难道是文件系统代码引入了新的bug？你这个vhd大不大？能不能分享一下啊

32位也可以了，可以更新到首页了。前面不能显示不知是什么原因造成的。

我觉得是固件原因，gop有个标准Blt方法，10.0版本的vmware固件中的Blt方法不干任何事情，需要手动写入图像数据。而之前发布的0.25去掉了Blt方法有效性的检测，现在又改回来了

这个虚拟硬盘我也只是用来试一下是不是我U盘兼容问题。之前用在U盘上的也是一样。

Hi Pauly,

When adding images to the xorbootu menu, I started getting the following warnings.
Doesn't mater what image I choose, I get the same error.
I scanned my usb with checkdisk and also tested for bad sectors. Everything looks good.
Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Update: This happens when choosing Sandisk Extreme usb device under disks. Or when selecting an image from the same usb.
Version 0.24 does not show this error.

Hi Pauly,

All of a sudden, it started to happen only few days ago. I don't know what causes it. I did not change any bootloaders or played with partitions.
Both file systems are clean of errors. Physically also clean, no bad sectors or defects.

The usb disk has two partitions, bigger ntfs partition and smaller fat32 partition from where xorbootu boots in uefi.
The ntfs partition has grub4dos bootloader.

The error comes up not when choosing the image, but when choosing Disk.
For example:
System Type -> ISO
File Location -> File on the specified disk.
Disk -> RM5: Sandisk Extreme  ---- This is where xorbootu gives me this error.

I think it could be related to xorbootu seeing MBR 3 with unknown file system and a size of 1.8TB.
I uploaded few pictures.

Update:
I think I know what the issue could be.
Booting linux iso under legacy bios via partnew method will create an entry in the 4th partition on a usb drive.
The method outlined here: https://www.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/tails
Maybe xorbootu produces error because of that entry in the partition table.
This did not happen with xorbootu 0.24.

Update 2:
I removed the 4th partition entry and now xorbootu works fine and does not produce any errors. Also the MBR3 is gone.

usb磁盘有两个分区，更大的ntfs分区和更小的fat32分区，xorbootu在uefi中启动。
ntfs分区有grub4dos bootloader。

选择图像时，但选择“磁盘”时，错误不会出现。
例如：
系统类型 - > ISO
文件位置 - >指定磁盘上的文件。
磁盘 - > RM5：Sandisk Extreme ----这是xorbootu给我这个错误的地方。

我认为它可能与xorbootu有关，看到MBR 3的文件系统未知，大小为1.8TB。
我上传了几张照片。

更新：
我想我知道问题是什么。
通过partnew方法在传统BIOS下引导linux iso将在usb驱动器的第4个分区中创建一个条目。

也许xorbootu因分区表中的条目而产生错误。
xorbootu 0.24没有发生这种情况。


更新2：
我删除了第4个分区条目，现在xorbootu工作正常，不会产生任何错误。 MBR3也消失了。
