大家最喜欢用什么Linux发行版

楼上的是大牛么，今天上午使用了arch的衍生版本archbang，其实就是arch
+openbox archlinux真是简单、快速，就是配置起来太繁琐了，好不容易让他显示中文，结果停电了，步骤都没记下来，我还是用懒人用的吧！

听说gentoo和lfs差不多，从内核到应用软件全部都编译，安装完成有好几天，是真的吗？

gentoo我真的没用过. arch已经不错了, 毕竟大多数不用也没有必要自己编译.
何况arch里面自己编译也很简单.
编译各种... 很耗时间. 我编译个emacs就5分钟. 传说中极其不建议自行编译的两个大神就是firefox和openoffice, 貌似有人编译firefox就2小时...

1.基于Debian
2.基于Fedora或Red Hat
3.基于Slackware
4.基于Gentoo
5.其他....

其实装gentoo应该很不错,但貌似它对网络的依赖很强,就目前的主流配置而言,编译但不会很耗时间,下载速度快安装就快....

刚才google了下，gentoo几乎没有二进制包，全是源代码编译，妈妈咪啊！它其实是一大堆脚本，指导你从哪里下源码，在用什么参数编译安装！听说只有openoffice是二进制代码，其他一律编译，虽然耗时间，可是一旦成功安装，速度一流，听说arch能和他一拼！

所以，也有一些发行版采取了完全不同的办法，这些发行版是以源代码为基础的。Gentoo 就是其中的代表。如果你用过 Gentoo 你就会知道 ebuild 文件。你如果有兴趣，可以从 http://gentoo-package.com 抓一个 ebuild 文件研究一下。你会明白 Gentoo 的用户其实从 Gentoo 得到的只有这些 ebuild 文件，在每一个 ebuild 文件里包含了安装使用一个软件需要的所有信息（从哪里下载源代码、如何编译、如何安装还有 Dependency 的问题等）。之后，Gentoo 的用户用 emerge 命令按照 ebuild 文件的指示编译、安装一个软件。这样做的好处是，Gentoo 的用户可以一目了然地了解每一个软件的编译、安装的过程。如果需要的话，Gentoo 的用户可以修改 ebuild，按照自己的需要编译一个软件。

install can  corpse and make my computer  static.    By  this forum   introduce    I choose  lucid    puppy-linux .      use Grub4DOS  kernel  boot     pfix=ram  running in RAM.   my ram memory is 2GB.   boot   with    syslinux  is 4.03  ,I have  no time to test.     the background picture    back.png  is a beautiful girl, is sucessful in syslinux 4.03    . so I cannot reboot.     left  at the  bottom of  desktop,You can select the first as the default browse.   Open a new item you need a left click for once.      gonplayer  can play  video in web. mp3    in the computer.   but it cope with some  mms streaming is not  working.Maybe  it is  busing   in the server. mount a driver and you can unmount a driver.be careful not to unplug it.  in order to find mp3 in hard disk  the     bookmark is useful .   install a chinese in  zbout 9 MB,the only  thing you do is  left click. setup networking is right  at the bottom of the desktop,you can create 2-3 desktop . right menu you can delete in the openbox. if the deskyop is black you should reboot the X-server  at the shutdown items.       the hardware is required  in    setup     unbutu  10.10.   slax  and puppy used in portable disk ,then you can try it .

没办法，工作上需要。挺喜欢SUSE的，自动化。但稳定性还是选RHEL，但软件相关性较多. 偶从来只用服务器版本。没办法，ORACLE只认证这些版本。

用过n多发行版，然后一直稳定使用arch，其实我一直想找一个发行版换了它的，因为其更新太快，尤其是底层，导致出现问题的几率太高，远超越我的精力所能忍受的程度了。chakra又还太嫩了。

用过ubuntu，相当不错，试过u盘veket，个别驱动不好装
