You're right,the UD was can't boot in UEFI,but it have an other way,you can make your usbdisk to fat32,and take the EFI file into it,then you can boot in UEFI from this usbdisk,that's a easyliset way.

I'm not talking about the issue of UD that can't be guided by UEFI,
But that the UFD firmware parameter is the most important issue of BIOS/UEFI.
