3. This version incorporates all upstream improvements from Debian stable, adds several default applications and fixes several known bugs. File manager now understands file types, so it is easier for users to open files like images, pdf documents, and so on.

1. add rfkill so users can switch on/off their wifi devices
   
2. make xlunch in Slax search for icons in /usr/share/pixmaps too, else many apps won't show up in the list
   
3. if there are more rows with icons in xLunch, next row is displayed at the bottom of screen, should be on top
   
4. include libdrm-intel1, libgl1-mesa-dri, libglu1-mesa packages in Slax for direct rendering. Adds 8 MB :(

9.4.0 相比 9.3.0 有些问题，在老旧电脑上，9.3.0可以进入桌面，9.4.0无法进入，日志显示是intel显卡模块不存在

Slax新版能够在Launcher中显示未安装的应用程序。当用户想要体验这款应用的时候，只需要点击就能从官方的软件库中获取并进行安装。首批支持这种新方案的应用包括VLC Media Player和VoteCoin匿名加密货币钱包。
新版本中最显著的变化是在Launcher中添加了未安装应用程序，而且在首次运行的时候可以下载和安装。这些应用程序并不包含在Slax的系统软件包中，通过点击图标可以自动下载安装。
除了全新的应用安装方式之外，Slax 9.4.0正式版还能通过rfkill工具来开启/关闭WiFi设备，调整音量或者静音的全新键盘快捷方式，支持直接渲染，称之为cbatticon的全新电池监控器，在资源管理其中的文件关联。
