thank you so much Mr Sratif , for posting my issue and helping me.

basically the issue is , if i will disable INTELPPM.SYS service , will it effect booting on INTEL based systems ?

currently it is set to Start 0x0003 (3)

i think i should try with 0x000000 (0)

it will disable it . ?

by the way , on AMD based systems with xp sp3 installed , it can be taken care with

by booting from recovery console , and from recovery console , type

disable intelppm  ( ENTER )
exit

problem gone.

intelppm.sys驱动程序，可以为配置英特尔处理器的PC提供电源管理功能；而在配置AMD处理器的PC上，提供这一功能的是amdk8.sys驱动程序。
想法在AMD的机器上sc config intelppm start= disabled

据说在系统启动前插入一个U盘就能解决蓝屏问题

i tried method number 2 , by copying processor.sys from driver.cab , rename it to intelppm.sys , and replacing it with actual intelppm.sys driver at systerm32 /drivers folder .

it boots up fine on 2 intel based systems . i will now test it soon on AMD system , system belongs to friend , may be i visit in 2 or 3 days,.

ok i have tried above mentioned method , and it WORKED on that AMD system  .
NO BSOD this time . thank you so much Sratif and zhaohj

yes now it is working OK on both AMD and INTEL . no BSOD 0x0000007E after replacing intelppm.sys with processor.sys (renaming as intelppm.sys)
